The River Foyle curves picturesquely around the old walled town of Derry. The old city occupies the west bank of the river while the modern city covers both banks. Derry has the most complete series of city walls in the British Isles offering splendid views from the top. The Tower Museum is located inside the walls and tells the story of Derry from the days of St Columcille to the present.
