Kerry

County Kerry, in the southwest of Ireland, has two contrasting types of terrain - the mountainous south with the Dingle peninsula, and the smaller 'plains' area that stretches north to the Shannon estuary. Along the coast, sandy bays alternate with cliffs and rocky headlands. Fabulous scenery can be seen in many parts of the county, none so spectacular as around the Ring of Kerry. This is a route that covers the 170km of circular road starting in Killarney and passing through many picturesque villages including Killorglin, Glenbeigh, Sneem, Kenmare and Muckross.
