The Cotswolds is often called the “Heart of England”. This “Area of Outstanding Beauty” is located in west-central England. The region is well known for gentle hillsides (wolds), quaint villages, buildings constructed using a local honey-coloured limestone and drystone walls in the fields. It is home to the famous city of Bath and to beautiful towns like Cheltenham.
