The City of New York is the most populous city in the United States, and the most densely populated major city in North America. New York City comprises the central island of Manhattan along with four outer boroughs - Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx and Staten Island. The city is at the centre of international finance, politics, entertainment, and culture. It is one of the world's major global cities (along with London, Tokyo and Paris) with a virtually unrivalled collection of museums, galleries and performance venues. Some of the main highlights include the Empire State Building, Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty. The city certainly has a unique buzz and bustle that draws people in.
